On Wednesday, Nov. 17, all Fowler Rotarians were encouraged to bring a guest to the regular meeting, to introduce them to what Rotary, and especially Fowler Rotary is all about.  The Fowler Rotary Club participates in several community projects, along with district and international projects.

We were honored to have the following special guest join us for the meeting:  Brad Hoaks, Benton County Ambulance Service; Aggie DeBruicker, Van Lu Enterprises; Steve Rettig, Fowler IGA; Karen Moyars, Benton Review; Patrice Gerlach, A/C Trading & Sally Slavens, Benton County Health Department.

Our guest speaker was Rotarian Dan Ryan, a member of the DeMotte-Kankakee Valley Rotary Club and the District 6540 Rotary Foundation Chairman.  Dan shared what The Rotary Foundation has sup[ported in our district and around the world.  One of our biggest projects is the eradication of Polio around the world.

But our district has supported several projects to establish clean water with water tanks and purchasing well drilling equipment, to providing wheelchairs, to supporting eye care surgeries and much more.

Special thanks to Rotarians Linda Bennett, Paul Minix, Jack Duncan, Dave Guthridge, Michele Brouillette & Steve Sorenson for inviting our guests to be with us today.
